Erika Clugston is an artist based in Berlin.

She has degrees in Fine Art and English from Southwestern University and has exhibited in several galleries in Berlin and internationally. Erika is originally from New Mexico in the USA, where she developed her love of bold color and strong light.

Her most recent series of oil paintings, When the Body Speaks, visualizes her struggle to communicate invisible pain, pleasure, and bodily experience. Created before and after hospitalizations for major surgeries, she painted over medical documents, journal entries, x-rays, drawings, and notes to piece together fragments of tangible expression into a more expansive version of lived experience.
